First thing you should do before you squat is set your shoulders.

Strong muscular shelf = Bigger squat

Hey, thanks for the reminder! My problem with Max squats is I start to push up with my hands when driving up from the hole and loose the shelf, rolling the bar forward.

What do you recommend when your elbow hurts as you get tight in the shoulders for the squat? The squat feels easier but I feel more pressure and occasionally tightness then in my elbows

2:49 Noob question. Is that a high bar or low bar position? When I squat, the bar lays on top of my traps and touches the top of the delts.
